Francis Center for Servant Leadership

Through our time and efforts, we strive to better our campus, community and the world.

The Francis Center for Servant Leadership was established in 1999 to reflect John Wesley's charge to love God and one another. By integrating service and academics, Pfeiffer hopes to inspire students to lead lives of meaningful work and service.

Students who participate in activities with the Francis Center for Servant Leadership:

  • Experience the application of conceptual knowledge to real-world settings, particularly those focused on social justice issues.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of servant leadership.
  • Develop an enhanced awareness of how personal knowledge and vocational skills can be applied to achieve the common good.
  • Engage in activities that build social capital in the local community.

Francis Scholar

The Francis Scholar program honors incoming freshman that have shown an aptitude for public service through volunteerism. Francis Scholars commit to completing 60 volunteer hours per semester and receive a $500 scholarship for each semester they participate. Francis Scholars may also choose to use their Francis Scholar placement as their work study placement. Click here to apply for the Francis Scholar program.
