Seek adventure. Gain perspective. Push boundaries. Propel forward.
Curious how the culture of the United States influences the global scene? Driven to learn a foreign language? In pursuit of a unique academic challenge?
Studying abroad enables you to experience different cultures firsthand. Living and learning in a foreign country empowers you to grow in your sense of independence and to gain cross-cultural communication skills, boosting your professional potential. Return with a deeper self-understanding and a stronger sense of how to contribute to a global community.
Pfeiffer students have traveled far and wide; recent study abroad trips include travel to Spain, Costa Rica, China, Japan, Italy, the United Kingdom, Israel, the Czech Republic and Australia.
Most Pfeiffer students study abroad through one of the following third-party service providers:
- International Studies Abroad
- The American Institute for Foreign Study
- The Council on International Educational Exchange
These organizations offer a wide variety of global academic programs. Visit their websites, or stop by the Wick S. Sharp Learning Center for more information. Choose from one-week community service projects or semester-long and year-long academic opportunities.
Broaden Your Horizons
Study abroad programs are available during the regular academic year, semester breaks and the summer. Prior to registering for a program, check to see if it qualifies for academic or cultural credit. Obtain details on costs, application procedures and credit in the Study Abroad Office in the Learning Center.
