Cindy develops and maintains the advancement office”™s database systems and processes, in addition to providing research, analysis and reporting for Pfeiffer”™s fundraising efforts. Previous positions at the university includes campaign coordinator, grant writer and development director.
Prior to coming to Pfeiffer in 1992, Cindy served as director of communications at Lambuth University, Jackson, Tenn., and at Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas. In those roles, she was responsible for implementing communications strategies, was university spokesperson and served as a liaison to the news media. She is a graduate of the University of Kansas.

Robert Cox, EdD, LPC, LCAS, CSI, CCMHC, ACS is currently an Clinic Director, MC, CS and Well Center, Coordinator Clinical Add Program and Otr; Assistant Professor MFT in Misenheimer, NC. He is an adjunct professor in Pfeiffer’s MMFT program. Robert is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS), as well as a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC). He is a Certified Clinical Supervisor Intern (CSI) by the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board and an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) by the Center for Credentialing and Education. Dr. Cox is also licensed as a professional counselor supervisor in Tennessee.
Dr. Cox earned his doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from The University of Memphis in 2016. He holds a Masters of Arts in Community Counseling with a concentration in Addictions Counseling from Appalachian State University (1998). He is a Minority Fellows Scholar (2013).

Dr. Ying (Laura) Lu, assistant professor of computer information systems/Misenheimer campus, earned a bachelor's degree from Sichuan University, China, and a master's degree from Pennsylvania State University, University Park, before completing doctoral studies in business administration at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She comes to Pfeiffer from UNC Charlotte, where she taught a variety of business courses at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels, and has private industry experience in bioinformatics and marketing.
Dr. Luck holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of South Carolina; before coming to Pfeiffer, she taught at Queens University and Davidson College. She is currently Full Professor of Business Writing at Pfeiffer. In addition, she has been a professional writer for over 30 years, with experience that ranges from writing for national television to writing for international mainstream magazines to editing award-winning crime novels. She is an arbitrator for FINRA, the financial industry's national regulatory association, and a certified mediator for NC's state superior court. Her consulting clients have ranged from the Department of Justice to GMAC Finance to Child Care Resources, Inc. In addition, she has coached dozens of professionals in communication practices.

Deborah Lung, PsyD, LPC is currently an Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator for Human Relations and Substance Abuse at Pfeiffer University in Charlotte. Dr. Lung currently teaches both undergraduate and master’s level courses in the Marriage and Family Therapy Program, including: Advanced Psychopathology, Diagnosis of Mental and Emotional Disorders in Family Systems, Appraisal of the Individual, Adolescent and Child Therapy, Systems Foundations of Relationships, Theories of Personality, Skills for Relationships, and Life Span Development. She is also a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in private practice.
In 2007, Dr. Lung earned her Doctorate of Psychology in Clinical and School Psychology (Psy.D.) in the Combined-Integrated doctoral program (APA accredited) at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She also earned her Educational Specialist and Master of Arts degree in Community/Agency Mental Health (CACREP accredited) in 1995, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education in 1984 at James Madison University.

Since joining Pfeiffer in 2005, Teena has served in several capacities including associate director of alumni relations, development officer and coordinator of alumni events. Prior to joining the Pfeiffer family, Teena worked for Wachovia Bank as a branch manager and financial specialist in Albemarle, N.C. and for the bank”™s wealth management division in Concord, N.C. She is also an alumna of Pfeiffer.

Paula Morris provides administrative support for all the areas within the Office of Student Development: residence life, The Village Church, health services, counseling services, the Center for Outdoor Leadership, student activities and the dean of students.
Paula holds a bachelor's degree from Berry College and has experience in the non-profit sector, church-relations, business and real estate.
Dr. Nahavandi has over a decade and a half experience in consulting and research and has been a faculty member at Pfeiffer since 2003. He is self described as "in the zone" when in the classroom. He tells his students that Economics is a difficult but extremely powerful subject to understand the world around you. Dr. Nahavandi's goal is for his students to learn how to think critically and analytically about business and personal decisions and to lead an organization by correctly allocating resources and thinking strategically.

Michael Seda, associate professor of accounting/Charlotte and Raleigh campuses, holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and MBA from St. John's University, Queens, N.Y., doctorate in business education from New York University, and doctorate in business administration from Argosy University. Concurrent with business experience that spans more than 30 years is teaching experience that covers the depth of his professional expertise at such institutions as UNC-Chapel Hill, Fairleigh Dickinson University, North Carolina Central University and Campbell University, among others.

Caroline is a 2007 graduate of Pfeiffer University with a major in psychology and has completed her Masters of Art in Counseling from the University of North Carolina Charlotte in 2009. Additionally, she brings a wealth of experience and energy to the position.
Her office is located in the Stokes Student Center, room 222, and she can be reached at extension 3026.

Dr. Swain completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Dillard University of New Orleans. She also has obtained a dual Master's degree in Business Administration and Health Administration at Pfeiffer University. For more than 35 years she has held a leadership role as an RN in hospitals, home health, physician's practices, human resources, long term care, and operational leadership. She is also a certified administrator for the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).

Dr. Vogt has over 35 years of clinical, educational, and administrative experience in the health services sector including:
Dr. Vogt holds a LEAN certificate and consults in the nursing industry in long term care and education program development. Dr. Vogt has taught health law and ethics, health policy and health administration for several years and serves as a curriculum coordinator for the health administration department. She is the University liaison for the American College of Healthcare Executives for the state of North Carolina.
Susan Wilkie, Ph.D., LPC, LMFT, NCC, NCSC is currently a Professor and Program Director for Marriage & Family Therapy at Pfeiffer University's Graduate Schools in both Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina. Also founder of the MMFT Program at Pfeiffer, she is both an AAMFT Approved Supervisor and LPC Approved Supervisor, and a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in private practice.
Dr. Wilkie was born in Washington, D.C., and graduated from the University of Maryland with an undergraduate degree in education. A classroom teacher, assistant principal, and gifted specialist, she earned a master's degree in Administration & Supervision from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, a second master's degree in School Counseling, and a doctoral degree in Counselor Education, both conferred by the University of New Orleans in 1991 & 1994, respectively.
