Pfeiffer University Friends of the Library welcomes Dr. Jim Gulledge to its annual fall brunch and author event. Dr. Gulledge, Director of Academic Support Services & Assistant Professor of Development Studies at Pfeiffer, will present his novel, "A Poor Man's Supper” on Wed., Nov. 8, at 10 a.m.
Pfeiffer University mourns the passing on October 17, 2017, of Dr. Joseph Todd Echols, Jr. Dr. Echols joined the faculty at Pfeiffer in 1967 as an associate professor of chemistry, before being appointed professor of chemistry and the head of the chemistry department. Upon his retirement in 1997, Dr. Echols held the position of emeritus professor of chemistry.
The Francis Center for Servant Leadership and Faith Formation at Pfeiffer University invites the community to join them on the Misenheimer campus for Lights on Afterschool on Thursday, Nov. 9 from 3-5 p.m. The event is an afternoon of service for youth and their families at Pfeiffer’s Hunger Relief Garden that will feature fun activities, games and interactive learning.
Pfeiffer University will host National Book Award Finalist Danez Smith for a reading in the Henry Pfeiffer Chapel October 23rd at 7:00 p.m. The event, which is sponsored by the Piedmont Institute for Communication, Music and Art and Pfeiffer’s English Department, is free and open to the public.

Over the past weekend, the Pfeiffer family gathered on campus for Homecoming 2017, with over 500 alumni and guests attending events on Friday evening and all day Saturday. The “Falcons in Wonderland,” theme transformed campus and created an exciting celebration of Pfeiffer’s traditions, as well as its future.

Pfeiffer University announces it has enrolled the largest undergraduate class in over 30 years and increased incoming graduate students by 65 percent. The undergraduate freshman class increase grew by 29 percent compared to last year’s class and overall undergraduate enrollment increased by 4 percent.
A new book is raising funds for the family of former Pfeiffer University student Dalton Edwards, who is battling hepatocellular carcinoma. Statesville Free News recently announced the publication of A Warrior's Life: The Dalton Edwards Story, a book chronicling the Statesville teen's nearly four-year battle with cancer.
