Climb. Honor. Remember.
On September 11, 2026, the Pfeiffer University Center for Health Sciences, in partnership with local first responders and the City of Albemarle, will host a Memorial Stair Climb as we pause to remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001. The event, generously sponsored by Coca-Cola Consolidated and Uwharrie Bank, challenges participants to climb the equivalent of the stairs climbed by many first responders who courageously entered the World Trade Center that day. Our memorial climb consists of 37 laps of the four-story stairwell at the Pfeiffer Center for Health Sciences in Albemarle, NC.
With every step, we honor the fallen and their enduring spirit of service, courage, and sacrifice. Join us.
Fall Speaker Series – Chris Singleton
Pfeiffer will host inspirational speaker and bestselling author Chris Singleton on September 21 as part of the University’s fall speaker series. After his mother, Rev. Sharonda Coleman-Singleton, was killed in the Mother Emanuel AME church shooting in Charleston, S.C., in 2015, Singleton chose to forgive the shooter and dedicate his life to combating gun violence and racism. Shaped by one of the most tragic events in modern American history, his message is one of love and resilience. The event is open to the public and begins at 2 pm in the Henry Pfeiffer Chapel on the Misenheimer campus.

Registration is now open! Come home to Pfeiffer for a weekend of celebration, connection, and Falcon pride. Whether you’re reconnecting with classmates, cheering on the Falcons, honoring distinguished alumni, or making new memories with your student, family and friends, Homecoming & Family Weekend offers something special for everyone!
The Classes of 1966, 1971, 1976, and 1981 have already made plans to reconnect and celebrate. And there’s still time to plan a tailgate gathering (or any other celebration event) for other milestone class years that end in 1 or 6. Classes with at least 10 members attending on Saturday can reserve a complimentary Tailgate Plus package on Reunion Row at Merner Gym. The package includes two parking/tailgate spots, tent, table and six chairs. So, reach out to classmates and rally your pfriends!
