Benefits of the Milton Rose Research Fellows Program:

  • “Milton Rose gave me the opportunity to explore my interests through research and build skills I am still using as a medical student. Through the program, I learned how to design an experiment, test it, and present it. This experience proved invaluable to my science education as it allowed me to fully understand the research process and speak confidently about a topic. It also helped me practice reading peer-reviewed articles, which I have to do a lot in medical school. The program definitely helped on my application and interviews, and has helped open doors for me after Pfeiffer. The mentors I met through the program supported me every step of the way and I am truly grateful for every one of them and what they have done for me”. -Allison Lindsey ’18
  • “The Milton Rose Research Program was one of the many opportunities I was able to pursue as a student at Pfeiffer University that helped me develop academically and professionally. Working in my capacity as a Milton Rose scholar, not only was I able to conduct research alongside faculty in my department, but I was able to develop close, collegial relationships with my research mentor and with faculty in the program. The skills I learned and growth I experienced because of these relationships fueled my passion for investigative science and influenced me to pursue graduate studies. Through the support and opportunity of the Milton Rose Program, I was able to present my research at multiple internal and external undergraduate and international research conferences. These experiences allowed me to successfully enter graduate school into a PhD program immediately after leaving Pfeiffer. I am thankful for the research community the Milton Rose Program has built at Pfeiffer, and I appreciate the opportunities it has provided me for continuing my education”. -Dillon Malloy ’17
