The Graduate School at Pfeiffer University, comprised of programs preparing professional educators, business and healthcare leaders, mental health counselors, physician assistants, and occupational therapists, endeavors to deliver high-quality programming in a welcoming and inclusive learning environment where faculty, staff, students, and other stakeholders feel that they belong to the Pfeiffer family. To assist in maintaining and strengthening our efforts in this area, the Graduate School has adopted five diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) goals. These goals will set the foundation for a comprehensive DEIB plan for the Graduate School.

Inclusive Culture

Goal:  Create an environment in which all students, staff, faculty, and stakeholders feel welcomed and respected.

Recruitment and Retention

Goal:  Create recruitment and retention strategies to increase and maintain the diverse representation of students, staff, and faculty, and continually assess climate and sense of belonging for all constituents.

Learning and Professional Development

Goal:  Provide staff and faculty with the knowledge, awareness, and understanding of cultural competence and humility to create a culture of belonging.

Goal:  Intentionally include diversity in curricular material to reflect the diversity of global leaders and equip students to lead diverse organizations confidently.

Goal:  Create methods to hold individuals and departments accountable for actively participating and engaging in the advancement of DEIB initiatives in the Graduate School.
