Join NHI in a webinar with Dr. Nalini Nadkarni to explore the role of natural history in addressing the seeming unraveling of the world. “E.B. White famously said, “I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve (or save) the world and a desire to enjoy (or savor) the world. This makes it hard to plan the day.” In our current time of devastating climate change and social and ecological upheavals, finding the balance between savoring and saving the world becomes more challenging, and more essential. We’ll explore the role of attentive natural history—the direct practice of savoring the world—in addressing the seeming unraveling of the world, with Nalini Nadkarni, an intrepid scientific explorer of forests—especially their previously little known canopies—and a passionate advocate for the importance of human relationship with trees and forests.”
