Mr. Hoy Lanning Jr. – Mount Gilead, NC
Hoy S. Lanning Jr. brings decades of business leadership and community service to the Pfeiffer University Board of Trustees. He spent more than 30 years as president and CEO of J.J. Haines and CMH Space Flooring, formerly known as UCX.
In addition to his corporate leadership, Lanning has devoted many years to service on corporate, foundation, and civic organization boards. His commitment to education includes serving on the Board of Trustees of South Piedmont Community College in Monroe. He also served as president of the North American Association of Distributors.
Hoy and his wife, Gwen, live on Lake Tillery and have four children and seven grandchildren. With a career defined by leadership and service, he is proud to bring that experience to the Pfeiffer University Board of Trustees and to support the University and its students.
David also has an extensive list of volunteer activities, including service as a former trustee and Executive Committee Member of Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, SC, former chair of Wesley Commons, past president of the Greenwood Athletic Hall of Fame, past president of United Way of Greenwood and Abbeville Counties, as well as a host of other involvements.
