Pfeiffer University announces that Novant Health has joined its Partnership Program, providing an education option for Novant Health employees throughout North Carolina.

Pfeiffer University announces establishment of The Theresa Newman Leadership Endowed Scholarship, created to honor Theresa Newman, who served Pfeiffer as secretary to the dean of student affairs for 28 years starting in the late 1960s. The scholarship, which will support emerging leaders in their junior or senior year at Pfeiffer, will be awarded for the first time in fall 2017.
On April 28, Pfeiffer University recognized outstanding students, faculty and staff at the 2017 Awards and Honors Ceremony held at Henry Pfeiffer Chapel.
“This is among my favorite days in an academic year,” said President Colleen Perry Keith. “It’s a distinct pleasure to honor those who go above and beyond to make Pfeiffer the great place it is.”

When criminal justice majors Rachel Klein, Matthew Eudy and Johnson Binion graduate in May, they will have a leg up on most other new college graduates looking to start careers in law enforcement.
“Pfeiffer offered the two things I love—nursing and soccer,” said, Madeline Gadd ’17 of Concord, N.C. “People told me managing both would be difficult but I succeeded with the help of my professors, coaches, teammates and family.”
Pfeiffer University’s annual student art show, on display at G.A. Pfeiffer Library, 2nd floor reading room, through May 5, showcases works in a variety of artistic genres by students representing a range of majors and expertise. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
Pfeiffer University announces that Dr. Donald B. Poe, Jr., professor of psychology and former dean of the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, will address the class of 2017 at its commencement exercises, Sat., May 13, 10:30 a.m., Misenheimer campus, 48380 U.S. Highway 52N.
Sophomores Kristen Adcock and Jeremiah Nance can’t wait for summer to begin. This year they won’t be taking traditional vacations, however; their summer excitement will take place at the North Carolina Research Center in Kannapolis, N.C.
For the third consecutive year, Pfeiffer University’s Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) chapter outpaced its previous performance at the North Carolina PBL competition, which took place April 5-8 at the NCPBL State Leadership Conference in Charlotte.
This spring, 13 students from Pfeiffer’s Division of Education participated as presenters at the 2017 North Carolina Technology in Education Society (NCTIES) annual conference.
