Pfeiffer University announces that Reverend Maegan Daigle Habich will join its staff on July 1 as university chaplain and director of church relations. In this new position, Reverend Habich will direct the implementation of a traditional campus ministry and chaplaincy, and work closely with the Francis Center for Servant Leadership to coordinate faith-based and secular service programming.
The Master of Health Administration (MHA) program at Pfeiffer University announces the installation of an Upsilon Phi Delta (UPD) Honor Society chapter, offered through the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA). Charter members will be inducted on Sat., July 22 at a ceremony to be held at Mouzon United Methodist Church, 3100 Selwyn Ave., Charlotte.
This spring, 32 students from Pfeiffer’s criminal justice program participated in a full-scale training exercise conducted by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) designed to simulate the aftermath of a critical incident.

Pfeiffer University mourns the death on May 18, 2017, of Rev. William H. Faggart ’60, emeritus professor of sociology and social work, Pfeiffer College, 1964-94. Rev. Faggart arrived at Pfeiffer to serve as visiting lecturer of sociology, a position he held for one year before being appointed assistant professor of sociology.

On May 10, Pfeiffer University-Charlotte took a significant step toward transitioning from its longtime home on Park Road to new space across the street at 1515 Montford Park with a ceremony defined by United Methodist Church (UMC) protocol as “Order of Leave-Taking.”
Soon after commencement ceremonies conclude on Saturday, Lauren Egan leaves behind her familiar hometown of Albemarle, for a new adventure in Wilmington, N.C., where she begins a new job two days later.
Deidre Gilley’s collegiate resume lists accomplishments almost too numerous to mention. Among them are: president of the Department of Education Club and the Campus Activities Board; tutor for Pfeiffer Readiness Education Program and the Wick Sharpe Learning Center; Conference Carolinas All-Academic Team/women’s soccer; Grigg Scholar; and Dean’s List.

And the Honors Program helped broaden my understanding of complex topics and gain confidence in my research and presentation techniques. I know I’m prepared to take steps toward a career in the medical field.”
