With our world still feeling the effects of COVID-19, the health and safety of our Pfeiffer Pfamily is our top priority. With this in mind, updates to the academic calendar have been made.

Due to a possible second wave of COVID-19 in late fall or winter, Pfeiffer will operate on a compressed Fall 2020 academic calendar. The academic calendar will begin as scheduled, however, in-person classes will end before the beginning of Thanksgiving break. The compressed Fall 2020 academic calendar will also forgo some holidays and previously scheduled breaks have been modified.

The undergraduate Fall 2020 compressed academic calendar will be as follows:

  • Thursday, August 13: New Students Arrive
  • Saturday, August 15: Returning Students Arrive
  • Tuesday, August 18: First Day of Classes
  • Monday, September 7: Classes will be in session (Labor Day)
  • Tuesday, September 22: Single Day Break
  • Wednesday, October 28: Single Day Break
  • Tuesday, November 24: Last Day of On-Campus Classes
  • Wednesday, November 25 - Friday, November 28: Thanksgiving Break
  • Monday, November 30: Classes Resume Online
  • Friday, December 4: Final Exams Begin Online

Given that many of our graduate programs are conducting classes during the summer months and given the distinctive delivery of in-person and online courses, start dates, and student needs of many of those programs, the Fall semester and delivery of graduate and degree completion programs at Pfeiffer University will remain the same as initially planned and published.

The beginning of the graduate and degree completion Fall 2020 academic calendar will be as follows:

  • Monday, August 3: Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) begin classes

  • Monday, August 17: Classes begin for the following programs
