Tiffany de León
Visiting Professor of MFT & Clinic Director

Tiffany de León is currently the Clinic Director and Assistant Professor of the
Pfeiffer Institute for Marriage and Family Therapy in the Marriage and Family
Therapy Program at Pfeiffer University’s Graduate School in Charlotte, North
Carolina. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in North
Carolina and Florida, as well as an AAMFT, Approved Supervisor.
Dr. de León was born in Miami, FL with Cuban roots and graduated from
Miami Dade College with an Associate Degree, her Bachelor’s Degree in
Psychology with a Minor in Art from Florida International University and her
Masters and Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern
University with a certificate of advanced training in Equine Assisted Family
Therapy. She is also certified in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention from Cornell
University.
An experienced systemic therapist, Dr. de León has utilized her skills in many
areas within non-profits, school systems, medical facilities, and supervision.
She has a special interest in post-modern theory, the self of the therapist
development, social justice, trauma, and experiential work.
