Pfeiffer University Department of Computer Information Systems offers a Big Data Management (BDM) certificate. The certificate is earned by completing 12 credits in big data management from the Department of Computer Information Systems. Completion of these competencies will result in the awarding of a joint SAS®/Pfeiffer Certificate in Big Data Management at Pfeiffer University partnering with SAS Institute Inc. Students will use a SAS analytics package as part of these courses. The tool is provided free for class use by the SAS Institute. The certificate credential is not intended as a diploma or a degree.

The Big Data Management Certificate Program, in the Division of Business, is 100% online.
Curriculum
This certificate requires 12 semester hours. To earn the certificate, students must complete the following courses with at least a C, but have an overall GPA in all certificate courses of 2.5 or above:
- COMP 338 Introduction to SAS and Data Analysis
- COMP 342 Big Data Management
- COMP 345 Business Analytics
- COMP347 – Capstone Project (Applied Business Analytics)
