Asst./Assoc. Professor of Health Administration - Information Technology
Pfeiffer University is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor of Health Administration, to teach courses in Health Information Technology at the undergraduate and graduate levels, reporting to the Director of Healthcare Programs. The primary responsibility will be teaching courses in information systems, and its application in health care administration in the graduate, business and adult studies programs, with possible assignments at the Charlotte and Raleigh campuses, at cohort locations throughout North Carolina, and in online formats. Additional responsibilities include student advising and service to the department and the University.
A Ph.D. in Health Services/Administration, or health information systems-related field, and ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team are required. Evidence of scholarly or practical experience with using information systems in health services quality improvement; care delivery and operations decision-making; as well as knowledge of, or experience with, national level health information technology-related policy will be valued. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience teaching in a university setting. Also required is a commitment to the principles and practice of servant leadership in a church-related university environment.
