Events Plus Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Is there a bonus event?
A. No, we are moving to an alternating year schedule on the Bonus Events

Q. Can I give my ticket to someone else if I'm not attending?
A. Yes, please feel free; however, please us know to whom it will be gifted by Wednesday of the week prior to the event if you'd like them to received a pre-printed nametag; if not, simply send them with your ticket and the requested information filled out on the back.

Q. Can I bring a guest?
A. Yes, the cost for a guest is $35 and we need to know by Wednesday of the week prior.

Q. Can I register for a single event?
A. Yes, while we'd love you to consider joining the entire series, we also understand that schedule sometimes prohibit attendance at more than one of the events. The cost to register for a single event is $35.

Events Plus History

Since its inception in early 2004, the Events Plus Subscriber Series has provided an opportunity for local community members to actively engage in the rich cultural atmosphere at Pfeiffer University through participation in various entertainment and intellectual events. Stemming from our commitment to lifelong learning, the series offers subscribers a chance to interact with the talented students, alumni, faculty, staff and performers while their growing personal network within our community.

Guest lecturers such as Dr. Luke Dollar, assistant professor of biology at Pfeiffer and National Geographic Emerging Explorer, have shared their international research with the subscribers giving them an exclusive look at developments in his research on the Foosa, a rare mammal that is native to Madagascar. The Series has been privileged to host to many of Pfeiffer University’s talented students in choral, instrumental, visual and performing arts, along with a number of successful alumni including Frank Martin '66, former NASA Director of Solar Terrestrial and Astrophysics; Michael Lowder '76, Director of Intelligence, Security and Emergency Response, US Department of Transportation.

As we celebrate a tradition of “Blending Culture & Community,” we look forward to many more excellent years of intellectual and cultural stimulation while strengthening our community in and around Pfeiffer University.

Welcome to Events Plus

Over the past eight years, the Events Plus Series has introduced, and re-introduced, local community members to Pfeiffer University's rich cultural environment and vibrant "human" resources by featuring the talents of students, alumni, faculty and staff through entertainment, lectures and social events.

For our 2012-2013 season, we are pleased to welcome our annual subscribers to four on-campus events. We are currently finalizing details for each performance and will announce them via our calendar section as that information becomes available. Please check back regularly through the month of June for those updates.
