Jabali Afrika is a band with a seasoned sound and a clear, consistent message. Whether it’s Chakacha, Benga or Afro Beat, they pride themselves on creating music that can shake the hip as well as the soul. Down through the years, from their classic song “Aoko” to “People’s Voice,” their music remains uncompromised. No longer the unaware youth that arrived in the 90’s, Jabali’s music also adds a layer of consciousness. They aim to nurture the spirit and contribute to humanity even when doing so raises political eyebrows and isn’t part of the Top 40.
The Asia Project
As an aspiring novelist/astronaut/oil painter/brain surgeon/ninja, Asia never thought spoken word poetry would be his calling. But as with everything else we encounter in life while dealing with the illusive astrological joke we’ve come to know as destiny, here Asia stands: a cancer survivor who was won audiences throughout the country with a spoken word show that has been nothing less than an honest and genuine testimony of his life- a spoken word show that is always inspiring, sometimes gut-wrenching, and most often times comical buffoonery. He has been featured on HBO Def Poetry and BET J Lyric Café, has achieved to win the APCA Performer of Year award, and uses his poetry as an activist tool to help fight poverty in the Philippines. Taking his poetry to the next level, he is now touring with his brother-in-law Jollan who adds dramatic guitar to make the poems come alive on stage. So maybe Asia never became the ninja he had always hoped to be as a child…but come to his show and he’ll guarantee you will have never seen him coming.

Lyle Divinsky, a.k.a. The Sasquatch of Soul, "doesn’t front: he sings soul and R&B, and that’s that. There are no tags or modifiers needed: his music is pure and honest. His focus is so spectacular that his originals sound like instant classics...” (Todd Richard, The Portland Phoenix). Hailing from Portland, ME, Divinsky moved to the delicious apple just over 3 years ago, and has been crooning his way into the hearts and hips of the 5 boroughs since. With a new album on the way featuring some of the baddest musicians in soul behind him, there's no limit to how far this Sasquatch will go. To quote NYC blogger/music aficionado, Sami Promisloff, "Lyle Divinsky is the minister of soul and master of babymaking music for ALL TIME... and scene."

Matt Broussard Comedy Show
Born in New Jersey, raised in Atlanta, and, in 2012, winner of Houston’s Funniest Person, Matthew Broussard is not exactly sure where he's from. Matthew got a degree in Mathematics to launch a career in finance before moving to West Hollywood to make comedy his full time pursuit. His brand of playful humor ranges from physics and grammar to the hardships of looking like a villain from an 80s movie. He can be seen on Comedy Central’s Adam DeVine’s House Party, Last Call with Carson Daly, E!’s Worst Thing I Ever, and in the upcoming film Intramural. But his Cajun father and Jewish mother still hope he finishes his MBA.
Discovering Levi Stephens' music is like enjoying a surprisingly great meal at the local cafe you've passed a thousand times before finally deciding to stop in. You thought you knew what you were getting into, but this is something more. It’s refreshing --a pleasant surprise that a new artist in an industry plagued by dying creativity chooses to follow in the tradition of those classic singer-songwriters that came before. His debut album, “This Way” goes far beyond the confines of R&B and seamlessly melds a variety of genres, from soul to rock to gospel to folk while always remaining honest, clever and conversational.
