Center for Outdoor Leadership
The Center for Outdoor Leadership (COL) provides experiential development programs using outdoor adventure experiences and experiential team & leadership development programs to further the liberal arts education of students, faculty and community members. A wide-range of opportunities are designed to promote personal growth, social interactions and service to the environment. COL fosters the development of leadership skills and outdoor ethics in our student facilitators and trip leaders through training and positions of responsibility.
Outdoor Adventure Experiences are designed with the beginner in mind. Past experiences have included backpacking, caving, canoeing, rock climbing, horseback riding, Adopt-A-Highway service, service at Wings of Eagles Ranch and whitewater rafting. Each experience is led by student and professional staff members trained to provide each participant with a safe, enjoyable and memorable outdoor adventure. For a complete list of scheduled Outdoor Adventure Experiences, please click on Upcoming Events.
Our Experiential Team & Leadership Development programs are custom designed to meet the developmental goals of each organization (student, athletic, academic, nonprofit and corporate). The activities used may incorporate low ropes elements at our challenge course or portable activities in the classroom or conference room.
