Gibson Lake & Wooded Paths

Love nature? So do we!

One of the best things about studying at Pfeiffer University is the easy access to natural beauty. Make it part of your everyday routine to:

  • Walk or jog the wooded paths.
  • Study by Gibson Lake.
  • Hang out with other students for events at the Gibson Lake House.
  • Soak in the sun, breathe in the fresh air and spot wildlife in our extraordinary natural settings.

This area includes a seven-acre lake circled by wooded paths on the north campus named in honor of Walter I. Gibson, senior vice president of Pfeiffer College, 1956-1969. Adjacent to the lake is a pavilion of native fieldstone used for picnics, coffeehouses and other student functions. This area is also home to the Center for Outdoor Leadership challenge course, utilized for experiential team and leadership development programs.
