Pfeiffer University to Offer Professional Development Opportunity for Teachers

Dr. Laura Lowder, Associate Professor of Education and past classroom teacher from Stanly County Schools will be leading The Curious Classroom Book Study, a book study open to current Pfeiffer students as well as practicing classroom teachers.

The book study will be an opportunity for practicing teachers to earn 10 hours of professional development credit towards licensure renewal. Pfeiffer students will earn Pfeiffer Life credit for full participation.

The Curious Classroom by Harvey "Smokey" Daniels will be provided.

Book study sessions will take place Tuesday evenings in February from 5:00-7:20 P.M. and will include time for reading, analyzing, and discussing the text during each session. Registrants must attend all four sessions for professional development and Pfeiffer Life credit.

Snacks will be provided.
