Delta Mu Delta has named Amber Nicole Briggs as the recipient of the 2019 Delta Mu Delta Regional Award and a $500 scholarship. Briggs', who at the end of her Junior year, had a GPA of 3.91 accepted an invitation to join the Omicron Eta Chapter of Delta Mu Delta (DMD) – Pfeiffer Chapter in May 2019. "I am so proud of Amber and her drive to pursue scholarships that are available to our students," said Dr. Sandra Holley, DMD Chapter Advisor. "Amber is committed to the Pfeiffer Community. She is active in campus athletics and serves as a Resident Assistant. I think she is very deserving of this award, and we are so happy for her. She exhibits the leadership qualities that are truly Beyond Boundaries." The Pfeiffer University School of Business faculty congratulates Amber Nicole Briggs.

The Omicron Eta Chapter received its charter from Delta Mu Delta on September 25th, 2018. For a new chapter, Omicron Eta has been very active on the Pfeiffer University campus. Omicron Eta members sponsored two children in the Angel Tree in December 2018. More recently, on April 2019, Omicron Eta members co-sponsored a Backpack for Kids drive, collecting a hundred pounds of spaghetti and sauce for children in the local area.

Delta Mu Delta was founded in 1913 by faculty from New York University who believed that recognition should be given to outstanding students through the promotion of higher scholarship in education and to recognize and reward scholastic attainment in business subjects.
