Why Pfeiffer

Pfeiffer University announces that Carolinas Healthcare System-Stanly (CHS-Stanly) has joined its Partnership Program, providing an education option for employees of CHS-Stanly who choose to enroll in undergraduate degree completion or graduate degree programs.

The agreement allows CHS-Stanly employees, effective for courses beginning in May 2017, to enroll in Pfeiffer’s undergraduate degree completion programs, which are offered primarily online, and graduate programs with a 20 percent discount on tuition. Additionally, CHS-Stanly employees who are veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces will receive a 40 percent discount, while employees who are active duty U.S. military members will pay a flat $250 per credit hour for degree completion and graduate programs.

“Pfeiffer University is committed to building a highly skilled and competitive workforce in Stanly County,” said Dr. Colleen Perry Keith, president. “Through this agreement, Pfeiffer’s high-demand seated and online programs, including RN-to-BSN, MBA, Master’s in Healthcare Administration and M.S. in Leadership—among others—are accessible and affordable for Carolinas Healthcare System-Stanly employees.”

CMS-Stanly joins several other Stanly County-based organizations that participate in the Partnership Program: GHA Autism, Monarch, Stanly Community College, Stanly County Sheriff’s Office and the police departments of Albemarle, Locust, Misenheimer and Norwood. The Pfeiffer University Partnership Program offers specialized programs and financial incentives to businesses and organizations with the shared understanding of furthering the educational attainment of current employees. Its goal is to develop a common interest in the educational development of workforces necessary to stay competitive within a global environment.
