Pfeiffer University will honor the work and commitment of officers and civilian employees of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD), Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office and North Carolina Air National Guard (NCANG), on Wed., Oct. 12, 3-7 p.m., at a drop-in thank-you reception at its Charlotte campus, 4701 Park Road.

All on- and off-duty officers and veterans of these local law enforcement agencies are invited to stop by the campus for refreshments as a demonstration of Pfeiffer’s appreciation for their service to Charlotte’s many and diverse communities and residents. Pfeiffer is proud of its numerous alumni among CMPD ranks, many of whom have earned bachelor’s degrees in criminal justice through Pfeiffer’s degree completion program or advanced degrees through its graduate school.

“Pfeiffer’s longstanding relationship with local law enforcement agencies and their personnel reflect a high degree of mutual trust and respect,” said Dr. Christopher Parker, vice president for enrollment. “If it’s possible for Pfeiffer to extend even a small gesture of appreciation for the work they do every day, we’re happy to do so.”

Through its Law Enforcement Excellence Partnership Program (LEEP), Pfeiffer University offers a tuition discount to CMPD employees and those who work for several other area law enforcement agencies. For more information, visit http://www.pfeiffer.edu/pfeiffers-partnership-programs.
