Why Pfeiffer

This summer, a longstanding relationship between Pfeiffer University’s Division of Business and Weserbergland University of Applied Science in Hameln, Germany, continued when 11 students from the German university’s executive MBA program spent nine days at the Charlotte campus for a strategic management and international business conference.

For the sixth consecutive year, Dr. Timm Eichenberg, professor and dean of business, Hochschule Weserbergland, accompanied students across the Atlantic to participate in case seminars and to visit Charlotte-based corporations that have ties to the German business community. Pfeiffer faculty members Dr. Jamal Nahavandi and Dr. Chris Howard served as moderators for the conference workshops.

“The opportunity to share stories and perspectives with people whose experiences differ from ours provides tremendous value for participants from Pfeiffer and Hochschule Weserbergland,” said Dr. Howard, associate professor of business administration. “This kind of exchange allows us see that it’s possible to make the world a better place by focusing on mutual solutions rather than differences.
