Why Pfeiffer

Visitors to Pfeiffer University and others driving through Misenheimer on N.C. Highway 52 will be actively aware of campus news and special events thanks to a new digital sign situated on the south side of the highway near Harris Science Building.

Pfeiffer thanks alumnus Frank Lea ’68 of Laurinburg, N.C., whose commitment to providing the attention-getting sign made possible this new feature to Pfeiffer’s main campus.

“In addition to acknowledging Mr. Lea’s generous contribution, Pfeiffer extends its gratitude to the zoning board of the Misenheimer Village Council for amending the village’s longstanding zoning ordinance to accommodate the sign, and to the council for voting to make the change,” said President Colleen Perry Keith. “The sign will surely be noticed by the drivers and passengers of the thousands of vehicles that pass Pfeiffer daily in each direction on Highway 52—and generate enthusiasm for the programs and other events that Pfeiffer offers.”
