Pfeiffer University remembers Rev. Reginald James “Reggie” Cooke, a member of the Pfeiffer Junior College class of 1951 and the board of trustees from 1990-2000, who died on Sept. 27.

Rev. Cooke was born Aug. 2, 1931 in Maiden, N.C.; he earned a scholarship to Pfeiffer, which he recalled in a 2012 letter to the university.

Harvey, a veteran of ten NBA seasons and former broadcaster for the Portland Trail Blazers, was the featured speaker at both a leadership conference for current Pfeiffer student-athletes and the season kick-off of Events Plus, Pfeiffer’s annual dinner and speaker series.

On Fri. Oct. 14 faculty and aspiring teachers from Pfeiffer University’s division of Education will host the Field of Dreams overnight experience for boys and girls in 4th through 6th grade.
