I have fond memories of David when we attended music school at ASU together. We played in the same woodwind quintet together, as well as other ensembles. He was one of the most talented players I've worked with and a consummate gentleman. He always had a smile on his face and was incredibly positive. He always took joy in everything he did, and spread that joy to those around. We should all take a lesson or two from Dave- musically and otherwise.
