Growing the Pfeiffer Graduate Alumni Network through service
- Published on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 ( 1:01 pm )
A newly organized group of graduate alumni are raising Pfeiffer’s profile in the community through networking and service. Recently, the group spent part of a day volunteering at Crisis Assistance Ministry, Mecklenburg County’s leading nonprofit agency for preventing homelessness and providing the working poor with emergency assistance. This event came on the heels of an inaugural networking opportunity earlier this fall.
“Networking and community service are wonderful ways for members not only to get to know one another but to work together in our community to demonstrate that Pfeiffer University’s servant leadership ethic is a lifelong commitment,” said Uconda Dunn ’06, MSL, one of the group’s organizers. “Our collective desire is to touch as many nonprofits as possible in our community.”
