On Sat., Aug. 10, nearly 500 new graduates will cross the stage to receive their degrees in ceremonies to take place at 10:30 a.m., and 2 p.m., at the Merner Center for Health and Physical Education on Pfeiffer University's Misenheimer campus.
With representation from all three of Pfeiffer's campuses in Charlotte, Misenheimer and Raleigh, most of those participating mark the completion of graduate programs, the greatest number (158) from the Master's of Health Administration program, the largest such program in the Carolinas. These new graduates will continue or start careers in each of the most prominent health care systems in North and South Carolina. In addition, 137 will receive MBAs. The balance represents Pfeiffer's Master of Science in Leadership program, two graduate programs for elementary education and marriage and family therapy.
Nearly 100 students will receive undergraduate degrees, in particular from Pfeiffer's undergraduate degree completion program. Based in Charlotte and designed to meet the needs of working adults whose undergraduate experiences were interrupted, the degree completion program offers a comprehensive and convenient way for this specific population of students to finish what was previously started for professional advancement and personal satisfaction.
