Pfeiffer University helps celebrate Stanly County's economic development achievements

On March 7 at the Stanly County Outstanding Economic Development Ally Awards hosted by the Stanly County Economic Development Commission, Pfeiffer University administrators, faculty members and alumni were introduced to North Carolina's new secretary of commerce, Sharon Decker (fourth from left) by outgoing secretary and Pfeiffer alumnus and trustee Keith Crisco '64 (third from right), owner, AEC Narrow Fabrics, Asheboro. Greeting the secretaries were Dr. Michael Riemann â€˜66 professor emeritus of chemistry and mayor, village of Misenheimer; Thad Henry, special assistant to the president for advancement; Dr. Ken Bandy, dean, division of business; Uconda Dunn â€˜06, NC Department of Commerce, Charlotte office; and Trustee Tony Dennis, Stanly County commissioner and chairman, Stanly County Economic Development Board.
