This year the Accounting Society on the Misenheimer Campus is participating in the IRS's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. VITA is a free tax preparation and eFiling program for those who have a combined income less than $51,000.
"Accounting Society students have been trained and certified by the IRS, and are fully capable of preparing and filing your tax returns free of charge," said Dr. Patrick Malloy, assistant professor of accounting. "This service is open to the faculty, staff students, alumni and the community."
