Pfeiffer University performance ensembles and Stanly County Concert Band present: A Village Christmas

The performance ensembles of Pfeiffer University and members of the Stanly County Concert Band will present A Village Christmas in two performances on Sun., Dec. 2 at 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Henry Pfeiffer Chapel, 48380 Hwy 52N, Misenheimer. The community is invited to these free concerts.
In addition to the Pfeiffer University Concert Choir, featured performers include the university’s hand bell choir, men’s ensemble and percussion ensemble as well as members of the newly established Stanly County Concert Band, which includes several Pfeiffer student musicians. Traditional holiday musical selections include “Christmas Flourish,” “Angels We Have Heard on High,” “The Little Drummer Boy,” “Christmas Time is Here,” “White Christmas,” “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” “Sleigh Ride,” “The Nutcracker Suite” and more.
The program is directed by faculty members from Pfeiffer’s department of music. They are Joseph Judge, director of choral activities and assistant professor of music; Steve Harrill, assistant professor of music; and Carmella Hedrick, director of the wind ensemble and a founding member of the Stanly County Concert Band.
