Center for Professional Advancement Helps Job Seekers Beat Unemployment

On Fri., March 30, Pfeiffer University’s Center for Professional Advancement will host Beat Unemployment 101, a half-day seminar designed to help job seekers succeed in today’s market. Professionals of all experience levels—from recent graduated to seasoned professionals—are encouraged to attend.
Session topics include: “Resume Dos and Don’ts,” Effective Networking” and “Interview Skills.” Afterward, workshop presenters and Stroker Jones & Associates will hold a question and answer session.
“Although the economy is beginning to improve, the job market is still extremely competitive,” said Paulita Brooker, dean of continuing education and adult professional studies. “The more tools job hunters have, the better they are able to distinguish themselves from other candidates."
