Center for Professional Advancement Helps Job Seekers Beat Unemployment

On Fri., March 30, Pfeiffer University's Center for Professional Advancement will host Beat Unemployment 101, a half-day seminar designed to help job seekers succeed in today's market. Professionals of all experience levelsâ€”from recent graduated to seasoned professionalsâ€”are encouraged to attend.
Session topics include: â€œResume Dos and Don'ts,â€ Effective Networkingâ€ and â€œInterview Skills.â€ Afterward, workshop presenters and Stroker Jones & Associates will hold a question and answer session.
â€œAlthough the economy is beginning to improve, the job market is still extremely competitive,â€ said Paulita Brooker, dean of continuing education and adult professional studies. â€œThe more tools job hunters have, the better they are able to distinguish themselves from other candidates."
