Pfeiffer students take environmental science field trip to state's coast

Dr. Luke Dollar, associate professor of biology, and students from Pfeiffer recently visited the North Carolina coast during an environmental science field trip. These students visited North Carolina beaches, the Duke Marine Lab and Bird Shoal. During their excursion to the coast, the students learned about marine biology experiments, coastal forests, tidal and light patterns, Outer Banks ponies, crabs, urchins, shrimp, and the environmental impacts of marine recreation and dune conservation.
