Fall at Pfeiffer University offers more than changing leaves, mid-term exams and athletics. We also celebrate Homecoming. This year, the theme based on Dr. Seuss’s, “Oh, the Places You’ll Go,” provided the backdrop for the annual celebration for alumni, students, faculty and staff.
While the primary homecoming focus is on those who’ve completed their Pfeiffer Journey—our alumni, students also participate, building memories that last a lifetime. For Dillon Malloy, homecoming encompasses what Pfeiffer has to offer, especially through his favorite homecoming events, the alumni games.
“The lacrosse alumni game was a highlight for me,” he said. “After missing an entire season due to injury, it was exciting to compete again during my senior year—with alumni and teammates I’d missed playing with a year ago.”
At Pfeiffer, the homecoming spirit extends far beyond the boundaries of its calendar designation and helps students connect to the entire Pfeiffer community in long-term ways.
“The more involved you become Homecoming with each passing year, the more connected you feel to your school, your peers and alumni,” Dillon continued. “It opens you up to Pfeiffer’s values and the impact you have on the institution as a student and, hopefully, as a future alumnus.”
