UG Business Symposium 3.0

The School of Business Spring Symposium 3.0, titled “TQM & You,” will take place Feb. 17 and 18 in Room 200 of Jane Freeman Hall at Pfeiffer University.

Several business leaders will speak on leadership and management approaches in the workplace and on how Total Quality Management (TQM) can optimize a person’s contributions to the workplace.

The Feb. 17 speakers, each of whom will speak for 45 minutes, will include:

  • Thomas Hall MHA ’15, the director of operations at Haitian Heritage & Friends of Haiti, (10 am);
  • Jerry Cox, the owner of Packing Lines Inc. and Namazzi Water, (11 am); and
  • Tom Chandler ’68, the CEO of Cornerstone Staffing Inc., (noon).

The Feb. 17 presentations will wrap up with Pfeiffer’s students talking about the school’s study-abroad programs (2 pm).

The Feb. 18 speakers, each of whom will speak for an hour and 15 minutes, will include:

  • Andy Lucas, Stanly County Manager (9:30 am);
  • Sid Campbell and his son, Kern MBA ’05, a senior wealth strategist/financial advisor at Financial Analysts (11 am); and
  • David Beaver ’05, CFO of Uwharrie Capital Corp (2 pm).
