Meet the Admissions Counselors
My name is Caroline Allen, admissions counselor for Pfeiffer University. I serve the beautiful Western region of North Carolina.
I grew up in Stanly County, where Pfeiffer University is located. Once you visit the area, you will see why students come from all over the World to study at Pfeiffer. My favorite thing about Pfeiffer is the way that students connect to the faculty and staff. The involvement of the student body is overwhelming and shows through service hours, recreation and student events. The cultural experience at Pfeiffer develops students for a lifetime of learning and achievement.
Come for a visit, and you will want to experience the Pfeiffer Journey for yourself. We are here to see you grow!
My name is Emily Carella, and I'd like to be the first to welcome you to Pfeiffer University. One of my greatest joys is watching students grow and helping them attain their career goals. As you explore your options for continuing your education, I look forward to assisting you along your journey. I encourage you to come tour our campus – once you visit, you will know why Pfeiffer is the University for you!
My name is Grady Gaston, and I am the admissions counselor for Central North Carolina. I'm originally from Monroe, N.C. and attended Pfeiffer for five years completing both my BS in business administration and MBA while being very active in many extracurricular activities on campus. I've returned as an admissions counselor because I love the Village of Misenheimer, and I love Pfeiffer's service-driven values. I want to help you discover Pfeiffer for yourself while also providing an easy transition from high school to college.I hope you'll explore how you can learn, serve and grow with us as a member of the incoming class of Pfeiffer University!
Area: Central N.C.
My name is Angela Nash, and I would like to welcome you to Pfeiffer University. It brings me great pleasure to know that I can be part of such an important time in your life. As your admissions counselor, it is my job to ensure you have best experience as you enroll in the University. I also look forward to seeing you grow and blossom into a career-driven adult while you're here. I look forward to assisting you and watching you accomplish all of your goals and dreams. I hope to see you in the Village!
It brings me great pleasure to be part of the Admissions team at Pfeiffer University! I am the admissions counselor for S.C., D.C., Md, Va. and the eastern half of N.C. (luckily, I have lived in almost every state). I knew this was the place I belonged the first time I set foot on Pfeiffer's campus. Everyone was friendly and professional, and Pfeiffer's focus on creating a transformative experience through engaged learning and critical thinking really spoke to me as a recent graduate of a North Carolina private university.
I'm ecstatic to be working with you and your family as you navigate the admissions process. Come visit us and experience Pfeiffer for yourself!
Rev. Sherri Barnes
I am responsible for further developing relationships with and creating programming for United Methodist churches that enhance the professional effectiveness of church leaders, introducing prospective students and their families to Pfeiffer, and generating support for Pfeiffer programs that help students become principled Christian leaders regardless of their chosen major.

Veteran Assistance Benefits
Veteran's Educational Assistance
Pfeiffer University is pleased to welcome veterans to the educational opportunities available through our institution.
Most veterans who served on active duty for more than 180 days, any part of which occurred after January 31, 1955, are generally eligible for financial support. In order to determine eligibility for educational benefits, veterans should call their local Veteran's Administration Office. Children of deceased or totally disabled veterans who are 18-26 years of age may be eligible for financial aid if death or disability of the parent was the result of service in the armed forces. Local Veteran Administration Offices can supply complete details.
Students eligible for educational benefits from the Veteran's Administration must file a statement of educational plans with the Veteran's Service Officer (VSO) in the Registrar's Office each academic year. The VSO is here to help the veterans, dependents, and service personnel receive the most efficient service in applying for their educational benefits. The VSO is not a part of the Department of Veteran's Administration and the staff is not employed by VA. Their responsibility is to provide support in applying for benefits, clarifying regulations, and certifying enrollment.
On occasion a course or a program of study may not be approved for Veteran's Educational Assistance; students anticipating benefits are urged to confer with the VSO prior to registering in order to determine eligibility. Veteran's Administration regulations limit payment for only those courses toward the declared major. Any change in your enrollment status should be reported to the VSO.
