It is only natural to be worried about the possibility of an emergency, especially when your son or daughter is miles from home. Knowing where to turn for assistance and/or information is important in any crisis, and Pfeiffer makes it as simple as possible to contact a staff member any time of day. The Student Development Office staff maintains a 24-hour administrator on-call system to assist students and parents in the event of an emergency. Students and parents may access the emergency staff member by contacting the Misenheimer Police at (704) 463-3000, and the police department staff will have someone call you within a few minutes.
For inclement weather information, please check the website.
The Office of Financial Aid at Pfeiffer welcomes the opportunity to assist parents and families with the process of funding their student's education. Pfeiffer awards financial aid based on financial need as well as criteria such as academic, athletic or artistic achievement or promise. Each year, 90 percent of Pfeiffer students receive more than a total of $12 million in financial assistance.

What is needed to complete my student's admissions file?
A completed file consists of an application, $50 application fee, high school transcripts and standardized test scores (SAT or ACT).
Can you waive the application fee?
Application fees are waived for students who visit campus or by providing documentation of financial need (letter from a guidance counselor, SAT waiver form, etc.)
When will I know if my student is accepted?
Students will receive notification via phone, mail and also on my.pfeiffer (under the “Admissions Resources†tab). Since we are on rolling admissions, decisions will be made as your file is completed.
Can admissions decisions be appealed?
Students not granted admission may appeal the decision by providing updated SAT/ACT scores, transcripts or supporting documents.
How can my student access their my.pfeiffer account?
On Pfeiffer's website, there is a link in the red banner entitled “my.pfeiffer†OR you can follow this link:https://my.pfeiffer.edu/ics/. After accessing the page, use your student ID and password (both can be found in the letters sent from our office to your student) to log in.
When can we visit campus?
Campus visits can be scheduled any day the university is open, and also on select Saturdays throughout the year. We offer three times (9 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m.) for your convenience. It is best to plan for at least half a day on campus. You will go on a tour and meet with an admissions counselor, but also have the opportunity to observe a class, meet with faculty, eat a meal, speak with a coach or anything else you would like to do!
Additionally, we also offer Preview Days, Scholarship Days, Black and Gold (Overnight) Experiences and Accepted Student Days as opportunities to visit campus.
When will I receive a financial aid package?
Financial Aid packages usually begin going out at the end of February, as students submit the FAFSA. Since we must have a FAFSA (or notification that one will not be completed), it is important to file in a timely manner.
What is Scholarship Day and how does it work?
Scholarship Day is offered twice a year as an opportunity for students to visit campus and compete for additional scholarship funds. All accepted students are encouraged to attend.
Where can I find housing and meal plan forms?
All forms can be found on my.pfeiffer, but also here.
When is move-in day?
Move in day for Fall 2012 is Thursday, August 16 with classes beginning Monday, August 20.
