New Student Orientation

2014-08-16 07.49.22New Student Orientation at Pfeiffer begins just before the start of each semester and allows new students the opportunity to get acquainted to campus, meet new friends, finalize registration and prepare for classes. In addition to the faculty and staff available to help you settle in, there are peer mentors, upperclassmen students who dedicate their time to helping our new students find their way. Peer Mentors facilitate New Student Orientation activities and are available to students throughout their first year at Pfeiffer.

Important Dates

New Student Move-In: Monday, January 5, 2015
(Check back in late October for the schedule) 
 
New Student Orientation is mandatory for all new students including transfers and commuters
 
All students will be issued two lunch tickets for their families/guests on Monday, January 5, 2015. Commuter students without meal plans will be given tickets for all meals during orientation.

Pfeiffer Pfirst Pflights

Get connected to other new students, faculty and staff before arriving on campus in the fall. You’ll network and make connections, experience something new and step outside your comfort zone. Choose from two “pflights”: Adventure and Give Kids the World. To apply, you must be accepted as a new student and submit your deposit. On the final day of each program, participants will meet on campus for a time of reflection and sharing.

ADVENTURE PFLIGHT

July 9-14, 2014

Expand your knowledge of the world! Take a leap and join the Center for Outdoor Leadership for our first adventure of the summer to western North Carolina. We will hike the beautiful Appalachian mountain trails and ridge tops. From there our adventure will take us whitewater rafting down the French Broad River. Start your new adventure now!

Application Deadline: June 1, 2014 at 5:00 p.m.

Cost: $200.00

A $50.00 non-refundable deposit will be due on June 20th, 2014                                                 

The remaining $150.00 will be due by June 30th, 2014

GIVE KIDS THE WORLD PFLIGHT

July 6-14, 2014

Do you love serving others—and exploring ways to grow in your faith? Do you want to connect with other Pfeiffer students and staff before your college experience officially begins? Join us for a special version of our annual alternative break service trip to Give Kids the World Village near Orlando, Fla., for a week of fun serving special needs children and their families.

Application Deadline: May 23, 2014 at 5:00 p.m.

Cost: $200.00

A $50.00 non-refundable deposit will be due on June 1st, 2014
