MBA/MHA Requirements

The joint degree MBA/MHA is a 54 semester hour course of study that is normally completed in seven or eight semesters (approximately two-and-one-half-years). It is expected that students who enter the MBA/MHA program will have a working knowledge of commonly used computer programs involving word processing, database and spreadsheet software. Each student must have an individual email address and have access to the Internet. MHA 790 is an applied field experience, normally conducted under the direction of a senior management official at the student’s place of employment. MHA 776 takes place between semesters and involves a 7-10 day foreign study experience in England, Canada, Liberia, Austria or Germany. Admission Requirements:
Undergraduate Prerequisites:Prerequisite competence at the undergraduate level is required for several courses in the curriculum. Documentation of study and/or applied knowledge is required for (1) Accounting I and II (2) Microeconomics and (3) Statistics. Students who have not satisfied prerequisite requirements may be admitted to the program on a provisional basis with the stipulation that all prerequisite requirements must be satisfied within one year of beginning graduate studies.
