Alumni, Students and Faculty of Health Administration Programs to Celebrate Success with Spring Fundraiser
Pfeiffer University’s Master’s in Healthcare Administration (MHA) program will honor its accomplished graduates and recognize the leadership of Dr. Joel Vickers, director of the MHA and MHA/MBA programs at Pfeiffer from 1994-2011, with a fundraising dinner at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, Sat., April 14, 6-9 p.m.
With more than 1,200 graduates working in hospitals, clinics and related healthcare organizations and nearly 500 undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in Pfeiffer’s department of Health Administration programs in Charlotte and Morrisville as well as a number of professional cohort sites, Pfeiffer boasts the largest healthcare administration program in the Carolinas.
“With graduates currently serving in leadership positions for every major health system in North Carolina, Pfeiffer is making an unmistakable mark on healthcare statewide today,” said Dr. Vernease Miller, who succeeded Dr. Vickers as director of the university’s healthcare programs in 2011. “With the depth of the curriculum and breadth of our reach, we are also playing a critical role in developing healthcare industry leaders for tomorrow.”
Pfeiffer students, alumni, current and former faculty, and friends are invited to attend the dinner, which will support a variety of department activities, including student scholarships and subsidizing costs associated with the Comparative International Health course. Tickets for students are $75 per person/$125 per couple; for all others they are $100 per person/$150 per couple. Seats are limited so make reservations by March 16.
